World Class Fishing in Spectacular Kodiak Island, Alaska at WILDERNESS BEACH LODGE

Kodiak Island is famous for its world class sport fishing, its huge Kodiak Brown bears, and in the spring, the island turns such a beautiful green that Kodiak Island is known as the “Emerald Island”.

Our lodge is located in Port Lions, Alaska, one of seven villages located on the Island.

The sheltered bays around Port Lions and Kodiak Island provide an important feeding area for halibut, salmon, and whales. Alaska Halibut up to 300 lbs can be caught May through September.

In May and June, large King Salmon can be caught in the bays. The Kings are more plentiful in July and August, but they are smaller than the earlier kings. In August, the silvers appear. There are very generous limits that can be caught daily.

We provide all equipment, including Coast Guard approved boats and you will be provided top quality fishing tackle including quality graphite rods and level wind reels.

In addition, our guides are Coast Guard Licensed and with experience navigating Alaska’s waters.
